Even BTS Wasn’t Spared by Covid: Find Out How the Boy Band is Doing These Days

The coronavirus pandemic has affected people throughout the world regardless of race or wealth. Even celebrities have felt the financial and emotional toll that the global crisis caused. BTS, one of the biggest K-pop acts in recent years, wasn’t spared.
Losing Momentum

Like many other artists, the COVID-19 crisis has put a halt on the many plans the boy band had in store for 2020. The group even admitted that they felt like they ‘lost everything’ during the pandemic.
In a recent interview with Extra, BTS member Jimin shared how the group faced tough moments as they grappled with the fact they weren’t able to continue what they were already doing before the lockdowns happened.
Another member RM echoed Jimin’s sentiments and revealed that they’ve also shed some tears and expressed anger over the halt in their momentum.
You see, the group was busy promoting their then-latest single ‘On’ and was gearing to go on a world tour from April to September. Their plans had to be postponed and canceled as safety guidelines made it impossible to conduct jam-packed events like live concerts.
Still, the group is also trying to focus on the positive and not dwell on their sadness too long as RM shared. For now, BTS is working on creating new music and doing relaxing activities like watching Netflix and watering plants.
Keeping Touch

They’ve also been busy keeping in touch with their millions of fans quarantine all over the world. BTS have been particularly more active on social media as they share photos on Twitter and the Korean app, WeVerse.
Meanwhile, their YouTube and Vlive accounts have also been regularly updated with new video content for fans to watch. They even held a virtual concert attended by over 700,000 viewers, the largest global audience on record for a paid virtual concert.
Back on Track

As many countries are opening up back again, BTS is getting ready to get back to work as well. They’ve already released a new song ‘Dynamite’, which is their first-ever single in English.
And things seem to be going well for them as the music video for the song broke YouTube records when it got over 100 million views less than 24 hours since it was uploaded.
Fans can also expect to see them make an appearance at the upcoming MTV Music Video Awards, where they will also be performing. The award show is set to air on August 30.
