The English actress Barbara Knox is three short years away from celebrating her 90th birthday, but she’s not showing any signs of slowing down. She first appeared in the series in 1964 and has been a regular cast member since 1972!
Remarkably, Knox’s spell as Rita Tanner has spanned several decades, accounting for a whopping 3,133 episodes! For that reason, the 88-year-old is recognized as the longest-serving soap opera superstar in the world right now.
