In her younger years, Dench was active in theater, even playing Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. By performing as Queen Elizabeth I in 1998’s Shakespeare in Love, she saw herself win an Academy Award. However, younger generations may know her better for playing M in the James Bond franchise. Dench has two upcoming films in 2021: Belfast and Off the Rails.
