Golden Age Celebrities Who Are Still With Us And Doing Better
Johnny Crawford – Age 74
Johnny Crawford is well-known for playing Mark McCain in the hit western-show ‘The Rifleman.’ Not only that, but the versatile actor even went on to record four ‘Billboard Top 40’ hits in the ’60s. Talk about being multi-talented!
After his wild west days, Crawford started a vintage dance orchestra called JCO, which performed at special events. The star who has lately lived a quiet life was unfortunately diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. We can only send good wishes and relive the glory days by listening to the remastered version of his first album.
Conrad Janis – Age 92
Besides being a proficient actor, Conrad Janis is also a professional jazz trombonist. When the star wasn’t playing his part in ‘Mork & Mindy,’ he was busy being the poster-guy of ‘Beverly Hills Unlisted Jazz Band,’ right from New York to Kansas City concert hall.
Although his music career lasted longer, his age finally caught up, and the renowned performer finally decided to retire in 2012. It seems unlikely, but we hope that Conrad will make a comeback to the stage someday, or at least, for an online trombone special!
Morgan Freeman – Age 81
Who doesn’t recognize the phenomenal voice of Morgan Freeman? His soulful acting and strong presence on the screen is unparalleled. It always manages to turn every movie he chooses into a gold mine, and some might even say he has the ‘Midas Touch.’
With estimated film earnings of over $4 billion, his Oscar-winning movies like ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ has left a lasting impression on worldwide cinema. But Freeman is definitely not ready to hang up his boots yet! We’re truly excited to see what role this legend brings to life next! Aren’t you?
