Bob Newhart and Ginny, who was a babysitter and the daughter of character actor Bill Quinn, have been together since January of 1963. Their initial meeting was brought about by the late comedian Buddy Hackett, who set them up on a blind date in 1962 while Ginny was caring for his children.
