James Dean – Porsche 550 Spyder, ~ $ 3.7 Million
Ever since James Dean passed away in an accident in 1955 that involved his beloved Porsche 550 Spyder, the car has become known as the one that got him killed. While he was shooting for his movie, Rebel Without a Cause, he decided to upgrade from his 356 Spyder to the 550 model. He then had it customized with tartan seats, red stripes the wheels and the number ‘130’ on his doors, engine cover and hood. What was the first thing that Dean did when he got his car? He entered it in a road racing competition, as he was a huge racing enthusiast. The cost of Dean’s Spyder is not known, but a similar model was sold recently for a whopping $3.7 million!
