Sandie Shaw – 26th February 1947

Sandie Shaw, a former British vocalist and psychotherapist, had a prosperous career in the 1960s music scene. Her three U.K. number one singles, as well as her tune Puppet On A String, which was the first British song ever to be featured in the Eurovision Song Contest, made her a well-known figure. In 2013, the artist declared her retirement from the music industry. She was born in England and went to Robert Clack Technical School in Dagenham, where she graduated and then got a job at a factory while also pursuing a career as a part-time model. It was Adam Faith who spotted her talent and provided her with the opportunity to enter the field of music.
