Glenda Jackson is a consummate multi-tasker, having won two Academy Awards for her performances in the films ‘Women in Love’ and ‘A Touch of Class,’ as well as numerous other acclaimed movie roles in titles such as ‘Mary, Queen of Scots,’ ‘The Incredible Sarah’ and ‘The Rainbow.’ In 1992, she shifted her focus to politics and was elected to parliament, eventually becoming a Junior Transport Minister in 1997. Unfortunately, her outspokenness led to her two year term being cut short and she eventually resigned from her MP post in 2015 to pursue her acting career once more.
