Penelope Wilton – Age 76

Penelope Wilton has achieved success both on stage and on television. On television, fans of “Downtown Abbey” will be able to recognize her for her portrayal of the widowed Mrs.Crowley. She won three Screen Awards for the role. But before the historical drama, Wilton rose to popularity after starring in the ’80s BBC sitcom “Ever Decreasing Circles.”

Her work in theatre scored her six Olivier Award nominations and one Best Actress win for “Taken At Midnight.” Wilton has also appeared on the big screen in “Pride and Prejudice,” “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,” and “The BFG.” She played the role of Anne for Netflix’s “After Life” from 2019 to 2021.
